Lips wearing the Sweenly Lip Pen, with and without gloss

Sweenly Lip Pen vs. Wonderskin Wonder Blading: Marker or Peel-Off Stain?

Wonderskin made the peel-off lip stain famous: paint it on, wait, peel it away, and the tint stays. The Sweenly Lip Pen gets to a similar place, color that does not transfer, by a completely different route: a felt tip you draw with, no peeling. If you are deciding between the two, the routine is the real difference.

A note on fairness: Sweenly makes the Sweenly Nail Pen and Lip Pen, so read this as a comparison written by one of the two brands. Everything about the other product comes from its own website as of September 19, 2026; we have not tested it ourselves and we make no claims about its quality. Brand names belong to their respective owners, and Sweenly is not affiliated with them.

Wonderskin Wonder Blading, in short

According to wonderskin.com (September 19, 2026), the Wonder Blading All-Day Lip Stain is listed at $22 per shade, in a range of around twenty shades, with sets and duos regularly discounted. The brand describes it as combining "the maximum color payoff of a lipstick with the all-day staying power of a stain", built on a peel-off application: you apply the stain, let it set, then peel off the top layer.

  • Feel: weightless, enriched with hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate); one coat for a tint, two for a bolder finish.
  • Removal: a bi-phase or oil-based makeup remover, or micellar water.

Where they differ

1. The routine

Wonderskin is a two-step gesture: paint, wait, peel. The Lip Pen is one: outline and fill with the tip, then keep your lips parted for about 30 seconds while it sets. Neither is difficult; they suit different moods. The peel-off is a small ritual; the pen is the thing you do in the car mirror.

2. Precision

A felt tip draws its own outline, which is why a pen replaces the liner. A peel-off stain is applied with an applicator and defined by how carefully you paint the edge. If a sharp edge is what you are after, the pen has the structural advantage.

3. Adjustable intensity

With the Lip Pen, one coat is a soft tint and two are a bold, full color. A peel-off stain's intensity is mostly decided by how long you leave it on before peeling.

4. Price

Single-unit list prices are $22 for Wonderskin and $26.99 for Sweenly. In bundles, Sweenly's buy-2-get-1 brings the Lip Pen to $18 each, and buy-3-get-2 with a Gloss to about $16 each, Gloss included.

5. Removal

Both are stains, so both need an oil-based or bi-phase makeup remover rather than water. Sweenly's also comes off with micellar water on a cotton pad.
